What the turn-key scope covers
A brand handing over a bare shell needs roughly a dozen trades sequenced correctly. Run them as separate contracts and every delay compounds — the ceiling crew arrives before the electrical is signed off, the flooring gets damaged during fixture installation, and the opening date slips.
On the Jockey store at Kamla Nagar in Delhi the scope was all-over electrical, flooring, partition paneling and gypsum ceiling, façade, all ACP work and all-over store paint, on a 1,335 sq.ft. floorplate. On Jipsy at Ambience Mall Gurugram it was the same scope plus folding shutters, in 714 sq.ft. At Madame in Mall of Dehradun — 1,200 sq.ft. — it extended to rolling shutter, mirrors, floor fixtures and a Barrisol stretch ceiling.
Ceilings, façades and the civil trades
Gypsum false ceilings carry the lighting layout, conceal services and set the ceiling line that makes a small unit feel taller than it is. Barrisol stretch ceiling, used at Mall of Dehradun, gives a seamless illuminated plane plasterboard cannot match, and it comes down and goes back up for service access — useful in a mall unit where everything above the ceiling belongs to somebody else.
ACP cladding gives the shopfront a flat, consistent, weather-tolerant face that holds brand colour. Façade work is where fabrication tolerance shows most: a panel joint 3 mm out of line reads clearly at eye level under mall lighting.
Working inside an operating mall
Malls issue a fitout manual and enforce it. Material moves through a designated service lift in a booked slot. Loud work happens after trading hours. Hoarding goes up before anything else and stays clean for the duration, and a handover inspection will not pass a store carrying open snags.
A 570 sq.ft. unit has no back-of-house, so nothing can be delivered before the night it is installed. Sequencing deliveries to match the installation order — and dry-assembling everything at the factory first — is what keeps installation nights short. A clash found in the workshop costs an afternoon; the same clash found at 2 a.m. with the lift booked for one more hour costs the handover date.
