The Challenge
A 714 sq.ft. mall unit has no back-of-house and no on-site storage, so nothing can be delivered before the night it is installed. The mall regime applies throughout: hoarding before any work starts, material through a booked service lift, loud trades only outside trading hours, and a handover inspection that will not pass a store carrying open snags. Every one of those constraints compresses the working night.
Our Solution
Deliveries were sequenced to match the installation order exactly, one night at a time, so the unit never had to store what it was not fitting. Fixtures were fully dry-assembled at the factory beforehand — a clash found in the workshop costs an afternoon, the same clash found at 2 a.m. with the service lift booked for one more hour costs the handover date. Folding shutters were specified for the frontage to suit the mall's closing requirements without a heavy roller box eating into the shopfront height.
