The Challenge
Delivering several hundred kilometres from the factory removes the safety net that NCR work has — a panel that is wrong cannot be re-made and re-delivered the same afternoon. The scope also included a Barrisol stretch ceiling, a specialist install rather than standard shopfitting, and specialist finishes are exactly what tends to get substituted locally when a tier-2 store runs into trouble. Substitution is what makes a tier-2 store look different from the flagship.
Our Solution
Quality control was front-loaded. Fixtures were dry-assembled and inspected completely at the factory before dispatch, and consumables and spares travelled with the consignment rather than being sourced locally under pressure. Site supervision ran continuously through the programme rather than as periodic visits — a supervisor on site for the full duration costs far less than one wrong dispatch at that distance. The Barrisol ceiling was installed to the manufacturer's system, giving a seamless illuminated plane that also comes down and goes back up for service access.
